Keyboard Warrior - Autumn Game Jam 2020

This is my game Keyboard Warrior, which I made during a university Game Jam. I was working as a solo entry and this was my first full game I created in UE4. The theme was "There's a twist!" and so my game takes the idea of the classic game 'twister' and makes it playable with just a hand and keyboard.
I had a lot of fun with this game. I wanted to create something that parodies a cute anime style (like Rilakkuma) in a humerous way. My main character is a Hamster Sensei who acts as an indicator of success within the game and a fun little mascot.
You can play the game at:

Gameplay Video, showing how the player uses the keyboard to tests their finger dexterity!

This is the player controller blueprint. This was my first blueprinted full game, so kept it more simple by programming it all from this one blueprint (except for the hamster which is its own blueprint).

I created the character during the game jam and craeted a custom rig. I made four animations; idle, zen (a different idle basically), success and losing animations.

These are the UI pieces I created, drawn using photoshop. I wanted a cutesy chibi style for my game with lots of pastels and stylised art.
